Wanderlust (2020)

  • Opens: bergamot, lemon, pink pepper
  • Heart: blackcurrant, saffron, cinnamon
  • Dries down: guaiac wood, cedar, frankincense

The bright one of the three, by Jean-Louis Sieuzac. Citrus and pink pepper open it, blackcurrant and saffron give the heart a fruity spice, and it settles on dry woods and frankincense. The easiest to wear, and the one to start with.

Caden (2025)

  • Opens: cardamom, saffron, cade
  • Heart: suede, benzoin, coffee
  • Dries down: vanilla, tonka bean, labdanum

The warm one, by Maxime Exler, named Niche Fragrance of the Year at Beauty World Middle East 2025. Cade — a smoky juniper oil — and cardamom over suede and coffee, drying into vanilla, tonka and labdanum. Dark and comforting; an evening and winter fragrance.

Royal Incense (2020)

  • Opens: pink pepper, geranium, lily
  • Heart: incense, honey, leather
  • Dries down: ambergris

The incense of Oman, by Philippine Courtière. Pink pepper and florals at the top, then incense sweetened with honey and given depth by leather, on an ambergris base. The most traditional of the three.

Which to try first

  • Wanderlust if you want something bright you can wear in the day and in the Egyptian heat.
  • Caden if you like warm, sweet fragrances such as Tom Ford Noir Extreme.
